Peels are most effective when done in a series of 4 or 6  treatments spaced out

2 or 4 weeks apart.

Some flaking, peeling, redness and sensitivity may or may not occur after a peel.

Who is not suitable for Chemical Peels?

The following may not be suitable for treatment or may require medical clearance.

-Active Severe Acne

-Auto Immune diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, HIV, Hepatitis, etc.

-Diabetes

-History of cold sores (Herpes Simplex)

-Accutane/Roaccutane use in the past 12 months

-Pregnancy or breast feeding

-Eczema, Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Inflamed Rosacea, Rash or Wound in treatment area

-Prone to Keloid Scarring 

-Topicals (Retinols, AHA's, etc.) Must be off these 7 days prior

-Sun burned skin 

-Recent cosmetic facial procedures. Needs doctor's approval.

-Recent cosmetic injections: Botox, Restalyne, Collagen, etc.

-Recent IPL or Laser treatments. Must wait 4 weeks.

-Use of Corticosteroids/Topical Steroids. Needs Doctors approval.

-Recent facial waxing, threading or depilation. Must wait 7 days.

-Recent face peel elsewhere. Must wait 2-4 weeks.

-Recent permanent makeup. Must wait 4-6 weeks.

-Currently on prescription skin medications. Needs Doctor's approval.
